Bay Design was commissioned to develop plans for five mixed-use buildings that are under construction in the Commonwealth Green housing and commercial space development at York County.   The architectural program given was to arrange three live/work units within each building, contributing commercial space on the ground level and condominiums above for the business owners to live in.  Bay Design created efficient floor plans providing two 2-bedroom units and one 1-bedroom unit with a loft, within each building and even included a garage to securely park a car for every unit.   The exterior architecture of the buildings was designed to echo the vernacular architecture of Yorktown while maintaining the style and requirements of contemporary living.
