Schooners Grill came to Bay Design with the idea of relocating its restaurant from a rental space into a fifty year old free standing building that was previously E & E Auto Parts.  The multi-tenant/mixed-use building they were previously located in, did not offer enough parking or seating to accommodate their growing popularity with local Newport News residence.  In addition to needing more space, Schooners Grill liked the idea of owning a building with a distinct style that reflects their exclusive cuisine.   Bay Design developed an efficient floor plan for the aged free standing building and improved its structural integrity in the process.  The buildings façade was transformed to a contemporary look using Nichiha fiber cement panels with vibrant colors and rich textures.  This design approach provided Schooners Grill the unique identity it was seeking.
